Have you ever dreamed of riding in a country where every turn in the road or trail brings such delight to the senses, it leaves you speechless? The intense greens of the Rain forest, exotic birds and monkeys in the trees, deep, deep valleys of changing colour, centuries old Buddhist Monasteries and happy people with smiling faces.

Bhutan Landscapes

This is the Kingdom of Bhutan. We take an amazing journey across Bhutan, indulging ourselves in its beauty and its grandeur. From the saddles of our bikes we will spend 15 days traversing its valley’s and mountain passes from the Haa Valley in the west, to the central Bumthang region. Along the way we will stay in beautiful villages, be overwhelmed by magnificent Buddhist Dzong’s (monasteries), ride trails in a WWF refuge and witness an ancient culture that still manages to hold on to it’s true values but also takes the best from western technology.

We travel in a compact group, no more than 10 guests, to minimise our impact on their environment. Daily riding distances range from around 20km and up to 180km, if you are up for the challenge. You only carry what we need for the day with you on your bike and our bus follows if you need to take a rest. We will ride 5 different mountain passes up to 3800m, but some of the downhills are 2000m long, so you get plenty of pay back. Most of the riding is on Bhutan’s rough and narrow sealed roads, but we will be exploring remote valleys on dirt roads and single track, too.

Our accommodations along the way are high quality guest houses and hotels. Our final night will be spent at the beautiful Zhiwa Ling Hotel. www.zhiwaling.com
